The Ego

Practicing humility takes a conscious effort, which in itself is a manifestation of the ego. The way to escape the ego is to become mindful, not thoughtful. Observe your emotions and their triggers without judgement. But what I've learned is having an ego is part of being human. Searching the abstract for the absolute never satisfies our quest for purpose and enlightenment.
