Win or lose, nothing changes. No one has been fed or clothed, nothing has been produced, no problem solved -- it’s a gigantic waste of time. And yet the happiness of millions hangs in the balance. There are fully grown adults who seem to care more about a game than the results of a biopsy.

New archaeological evidence suggests that America was first discovered by Stone Age people from Europe – 10,000 years before the Siberian-originating ancestors of the American Indians set foot in the New World. 

A remarkable series of several dozen European-style stone tools, dating back between 19,000 and 26,000 years, have been discovered at six locations along the US east coast. Three of the sites are on the Delmarva Peninsular in Maryland, discovered by archaeologist Dr Darrin Lowery of the University of Delaware. One is in Pennsylvania and another in Virginia. A sixth was discovered by scallop-dredging fishermen on the seabed 60 miles from the Virginian coast on what, in prehistoric times, would have been dry land.

Oklahoma City police arrested an Oklahoma City mother and her boyfriend Wednesday night, after her 10-month-old baby girl is treated for a drug overdose. 

Police got a tip the boyfriend gave the baby K2.

The police report stated the doctor treating the baby at the ER had received a call from someone who said Franklin told them he had been prostituting out Warden, and had given the baby K2 to get rid of it.

Police in a Mexican border city said Wednesday that a drone overloaded with illicit methamphetamine crashed into a supermarket parking lot. 

Six packets of the drug, weighing more than six pounds, were taped to the six-propeller remote-controlled aircraft. Morrua said authorities are investigating where the flight originated and who was controlling it. He said it was not the first time they had seen drones used for smuggling drugs across the border.

Two Westland teenagers were murdered execution-style in a vacant Detroit field two and half years ago. 

Wednesday was their opportunity to address the men who killed their sons but what one of the defendants had to say to them left everyone shaking their heads. 

When Young had his chance to apologize to the families - he did nothing of the sort..

"I'd like to say sorry to the families of Aiyanna Jones, Michael Brown, Eric Garner," Young said. "And I want to apologize to them for not being able to get justice for their loved ones who was murdered in cold blood - and in respect for the peaceful protest, I want to say hands up don't shoot. Black lives matter - that's it your honor."

For the second time in less than a year, a billboard near Birmingham is carrying a racial message connected to a segregationist screed.

Posted along I-59 near Springville in St. Clair county, the billboard says "Diversity means chasing down the last white person" and includes the hashtag #whitegenocide.

Roney shot Vaird, a 43-year-old mother of two, as soon as she stepped through the bank's entrance, making her the first officer killed responding to a call in the city's history.

After one class, a student stayed behind and we began speaking, in English, about black-American culture. Notice the writer's punctuation of the words "Black" and "white" (as if the logic of the article didn't prove enough ignorance, capped off with a white person who shouldn't have "white pride" wearing a "I love Black People" T-shirt, because if he wore a "I love white people" T-shirt, that would be "racist"), but otherwise, totally unbiased essay ;)

The confusion comes in when people see “Black Pride” and feel that the situation is unfair. As I’ve stated before, the reason Black Pride and white Pride are not the same is sadly because the ability to trace your “Heritage” is very different for the two groups. A white person is much more likely to be able to trace their heritage, down to the letter, than a Black person is. Because many of our ancestors came here as mere cattle, we often have nothing more than a receipt. Tell me, when you bought your lawn mower, did you maintain the records of its creation, trace it’s route to get to you and maintain a paper trail of the metals and parts used to create it in the first place? Not likely. That is how many Black people were entered into this country, as machinery.
